Here's what Mr. Cruz has to say about himself and his writing:
I was born on February 23, 1991 in Long Island, New York to Kathleen Krehl and Jose Alberto Cruz. I remember having scant memories of seeing the Crypt-Keeper
on television when I was no more than four. Talk about traumatic experience. But my true love for the horror genre began when I watched the Claude Raines version
of "The Phantom Of The Opera." And after I had my taste of R. L. Stine's "Goosebumps" series, I knew that I wanted to write stories that would chill the blood of
my readers. I am a huge (I cannot stress the word enough) fan of everything creepy and crawly. Name a year and I could tell you a horror movie I've seen from it.
I scavenge every library and paperback book shop in order to dig up the most obscure terror tales the world has to offer. I stay up late at night listening to the old
radio programs as diverse as X Minus One to Nightfall and reading an issue or two of The Vault Of Horror. Two of my favorite television series are The Twilight Zone
and Tales from the Darkside. Some of my literary heroes are the unconquerable Robert Bloch and the sardonically funny Roald Dahl. So, as you can see, this genre is
a great passion of mine. And I want nothing more in the world to simply tell my spine-tingling stories to the world and for them to enjoy them. I hope you can give
me that chance
